| Position Available: Ride Manager position available beginning 2011 ride season. Seeking individual/group/club/organization to develop and grow endurance events at a private ranch that has great potential to be an awesome ride site. This ranch does not yet have established horse trails but has over 33,000 acres to explore trail possibilities. The land owner invites equestrian business as possible worthwhile adjunct to their present endeavors (oil, gas, agriculture, cattle, hunt outfitting, nature tourism, waterfowl conservation, et al. Ride Manager qualities desired: knowledge of and enthusiasm for the endurance sport; very flexible time schedule and efficient manner of ride preparation (land owner is time-constrained); tact, diplomacy, graciousness, organizational skills, no aversion to financial risk. This ride site has already hosted two events, with encouraging attendance for continued growth (2008 - 54 entries despite bad weather; 2009 - 156 entries). Incumbent RM desires more capable person who can take this ride site to greater success; coaching/training happily provided upon request. | TERA Board of Directors Elections will be held at the Fall Membership Meeting, Road Warrior Ride, Athens, TX. If anyone in the membership desires to run for any of the positions (President, VP, Secretary, or Treasurer) you may nominate yourself or your friend may nominate you. |
